Flash: Web_Development: Flash Component - Content Management System
The fCMS is a Flash CMS component (Flash Content Management System) that allows you to update text, images and SWFs directly on a live Flash website without ever leaving your browser window. The website developer or their client has no need for a separate administration panel for managing the content of the website and all of the changes can be applied at runtime.
I have not tried the software myself, but definitely something that clients have asked for in the past.

Fun: The Baseball Card Blog
Really funny site. Scroll down for the author's February 16th observation of Gaylord Perry cards. Reading some of the posts takes me back to the late-80's when my friends and I were addicted to collecting cards. My friend Tim became obsessed with the Pete Vuckovich 1986 Topps card. I later began collecting Ross Grimsley, Ron Robinson, and the dirt-dipping Perez brothers (Pascual and Melido). My book became an intriguing combination of strange faces and bad hair. I became convinced that someone at Topps had a weird sense of humor, because a handful of pictures that made it to print every year were some of the worst possible faces a player could have been making. http://baseballcardblog.blogspot.com/

RIA: Web 2.0: Usability for Rich Internet Applications
Interesting article from Digital Web Magazine. The author lists some of the key features of an RIA and the challenges associated with creating an RIA. Of course, the list of features and associated challenges could be quite long, so she really just touches on the basics. However, the challenge of "Deciding How Much Richness to Add" is a big one. It's still that battle of fighting against using new technology or features just because one can. Of course, developers always love to push the envelope, but the user experience always needs to be the main objective.
